GOING TO THE TOP

APRIL 7, 2011

It all started with Frank cutting and sanding boards. Then I went into action with staining and finishing those boards.

The gazebo was completely unfinished. The walls looked like this. The ceiling looked like this.

And the chimney chase looked like this.

First Frank made a door for the chimney chase. Next he attached tongue and groove to the walls. Note the fancy door knob saved from our Cumru house.

And the ceiling. He sanded and I finished the collar tie. He reattached the lights.

I stained and finished the windows. Finally, he put down the floor tile.

Isn't it beautiful?!

WORKING INSIDE AND OUTSIDE

November 1, 2010

Daron went home last Tuesday afternoon. Frank has been on the roof any time since then that it is decent to be on the roof. He spent one day in Morgantown helping a Friend and his son build a house.

First, you fasten a piece of metal on. The next one is fit over the screws, and tucked under a lip by the screws. As each section is finished, you go back and add the ridge vent and cap, and the flashing and cap at the top of the roof by the gazebo.

Frank modified some of the cabinets with organizational things.

Frank installed the washer and dryer.

He set up the pantry shelves.

He has laid the bedroom carpet.

I have been painting in the study.

I went back to Bobtown to pick up our venison. I have also been planting more flowers.
